Average hourly wages for the month were $21.35 per hour, which translates to $881.76 per week. Hourly wages decreased over the last month from $21.61 per hour a decrease of 1.2%. Weekly wages decreased over the last month from $924.91 per week a decrease of 4.7%.
A year ago, the average hours worked was 41.2 hourse per week, which is an increase of 0.2%. Hourly wages have increased over the last year from $20.93 per hour, an increase of 2.0%. Weekly wages have increased over the last year from $862.32 per week, an increase of 2.3%.

The unemployment rate decreased in July, 2019 from 3.5% to this months' 3.4%. A year ago the unemployment rate was 3.5%, 0.1% lower today. The total workforce in July, 2019 was 3,387,856, which is 0.2% lower than last months 3,394,464 and is -0.2% higher than last years 3,386,281. The total number of unemployed in Indiana is 116,627 as compared to the revised figure from last month of 117,901 and 118,537 unemployed a year ago.
