Average hourly wages for the month were $21.50 per hour, which translates to $872.90 per week. Hourly wages decreased over the last month from $21.74 per hour a decrease of 1.1%. Weekly wages decreased over the last month from $902.21 per week a decrease of 3.2%.
A year ago, the average hours worked was 41.4 hourse per week, which is a decrease of 1.9%. Hourly wages have increased over the last year from $21.25 per hour, an increase of 1.2%. Weekly wages have increased over the last year from $879.75 per week, an increase of 0.8%.

The unemployment rate decreased in July, 2019 from 4.0% to this months' 4.0%. A year ago the unemployment rate was 4.6%, 0.6% lower today. The total workforce in July, 2019 was 5,816,743, which is 0.2% higher than last months 5,807,941 and is 0.2% higher than last years 5,752,932. The total number of unemployed in Ohio is 235,223 as compared to the revised figure from last month of 233,314 and 262,852 unemployed a year ago.
