The total employment for Oregon is 1,944,200, which is 2,400 greater than last month, an increase of 0.12%. The total employment a year ago was 1,907,800, which is 36,400 lower than today. Employment has increased by 1.91% in the last year. Last months' employment total was revised from 1,941,800 to 1,943,700. This revision is a change of 0.10% from the preliminary numbers.

A year ago, the average hours worked was 38.9 hourse per week, which is a decrease of 3.9%. Hourly wages have increased over the last year from $21.28 per hour, an increase of 6.5%. Weekly wages have increased over the last year from $827.79 per week, an increase of 2.4%.

The unemployment rate decreased in July, 2019 from 4.0% to this months' 4.0%. A year ago the unemployment rate was 4.0%, 0.0% lower today. The total workforce in July, 2019 was 2,115,242, which is 0.1% lower than last months 2,117,282 and is -0.1% higher than last years 2,099,851. The total number of unemployed in Oregon is 84,322 as compared to the revised figure from last month of 85,720 and 83,881 unemployed a year ago.
